Azhar A. Jaffri Appointed as Chairman Hbfc B.O.D.

The Board   Of   Directors of the House Building Finance Corporation have appointed Mr. Azhar A. Jaffri as the new Chairman of the Board in its 1/2009 meeting held on February 23, 2009 at HBFC Head Office Karachi. Mr. Jaffri is nominated to this position in addition to the role of Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director already held by him. The tenure of his Chairmanship shall be of three years.

In the BOD meeting, the Board reviewed overall performance of the organization, its ongoing operational plans, future proposals and budget for the year-2009. 

The meeting was chaired by the Chairman & CEO / MD Mr. Azhar A. Jaffri. The other Directors who attended the meeting included Mr. Zaigham Mahmood Rizvi, Ex-Chairman/MD, Mr. Iqbal Hussain, Senior Joint Secretary Ministry of Finance, Mr. Tariq Iqbal Khan Chairman & MD NIT Ltd, Mr. Ejaz Ahmed Malik, Retired Federal Secretary, Mr. Tasneem Ahmad Siddiqui Chairman Saaeban and Mr. Zakaria M. Fazil Member –ABAD .Mr. Tahir Saeed Effandi, CFO, performed as Secretary to the Board Meeting.
